PVC Tubing Makes Great Storage For Round Stock And Other Thin Lumber

Being the woodworking packrat that I am, it's no surprise that I have lots of dowels, scraps of moulding, thin cutoffs, and other narrow oddball pieces of lumber. After discovering the futility of merely leaning them up in a corner or stacking them in a barrel, I realized I needed to get them out of my way.

Using various scrap lengths of PVC tubing, I glued a bunch of them together, side-by-side (using PVC cement, of course). I hung this monstrosity from the ceiling of my shop, using some steel wire. Now, a more manageable place to stash narrow lumber pieces.
